Prakash Industries Limited (PIL) is an Indian company that manufactures and sells steel products and generates power. The company was founded in 1980 as Prakash Pipes and Industries, and later changed its name to PIL Ltd before becoming Prakash Industries Ltd. PIL’s products include sponge iron, steel billets, ferro alloys, wire rods, HB wires, and TMT bars. The company also operates Bhskarpara Coal Mine in Chhattisgarh and wind power generating farms in Tamil Nadu. PIL has a captive power plant that uses waste heat recovery boilers and fluidized bed boilers to meet the power needs of its steel making plant.
