Lotus Eye Care Hospital Ltd. was originally incorporated as Kalaivani Health Centre Pvt. Ltd. on March 14, 1997.

Lotus Eye Hospital and Institute is a super specialty hospital in Tamil Nadu and Kerala that has been providing eye disease care and services since 1990. They have seven centers in Peelamedu, R.S. Puram, Mettupalayam, Tirupur, Salem, Cochin, and Mulanthuruthy. They also have two centers in Coimbatore, one in downtown and another in civil aerodrome.

Lotus Eye Hospital and Institute has screened more than one crore eyes, performed more than 500,000 eye operations, and 80,000 Lasik vision corrections since 1998. They offer popular degrees such as BSc, MSc, and Diploma. They also import technologies from around the world and are a leader in research and innovation.
