Automotive Axles Limited (AAL) is a joint venture between Meritor Inc. and Kalyani Group that manufactures and supplies automotive parts to truck and bus manufacturers. Founded in 1981, Automotive Axle has manufacturing facilities in Mysore, Rudrapur, Jamshedpur, and Hosur, and is India’s largest independent manufacturer of rear drive axle assemblies.
Automotive Axle products include drive axles, non-drive axles, front steer axles, specialty and defense axles, and drum and disc brakes. Automotive Axle customers include Ashok Leyland, Daimler India, Mahindra & Mahindra, Tata Motors, and Volvo Eicher.
Automotive Axles Limited also designs engineering modules and systems, including gearing, integral brake to axle design, weight option designs, and driver-operated differential locks.
