ACC was established in Mumbai, Maharashtra on August 1, 1936, when 11 cement companies merged to form The Associated Cement Companies. In 1944, ACC established India’s first entirely indigenous cement plant at Chaibasa in Bihar and in 1956, it established a bulk cement depot at Okhla Delhi.
