Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL) is a government-owned copper producer in India that was incorporated in 1967. It is the only company in India that mines copper, and is also involved in beneficiation, smelting, refining, casting, and converting copper into saleable products. HCL also produces by-products such as gold, silver, nickel sulfate, selenium, tellurium, and fertilizer.
HCL is a Schedule-A, Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) under the administrative control of the Ministry of Mines, Government of India. HCL’s subsidiaries include Khetri Copper Complex and Malanjkhand Copper Project.
HCL is involved in a variety of activities, including: Mining, Beneficiation, Smelting, Refining, and Continuous cast rod manufacturing.
