KIOCL Limited (Kudremukh Iron Ore Company Limited) is a company that mines, beneficiates, and produces iron ore in India. It was established in 1976 to mine and beneficiate low grade iron ore at Kudremukh, Karnataka, India. KIOCL has over 40 years of experience in the country’s iron ore mining, beneficiation, and iron oxide pellet production. The company operates through two segments: Pellet and Pig Iron. KIOCL produces and sells iron ore pellets and pig iron, and also offers project operation and maintenance services, as well as mineral exploration services.
KIOCL has a 3.5 MTPA Iron-oxide Pellet Plant and a Blast Furnace Unit that manufactures 2.16 lakh tonnes of pig iron per year at Mangaluru, Karnataka. The company has been a profit making dividend paying company for several years.
KIOCL stopped mining operations at Kudremukh on January 1, 2006, as the area was declared National Park.
